In recent years, the abatement and disposal of asbestos cement roofs has taken on increasing importance due to the hazard caused by the dispersion of asbestos fibres in the environment. The asbestos cement roofs of buildings are often in very deteriorated conditions due to their natural ageing.
Prolonged exposure to atmospheric agents causes great wear and tear, especially to the outer side of the roof. In-depth studies have shown how asbestos fibres, which are used to reinforce corrugated cement sheets are released and spread in the atmosphere when the sheets age. This mineral is extremely harmful for human health.
We are specialized in the abatement and disposal of asbestos cement on roofs and structures (in compliance with law no. 257/92 on toxic substances and asbestos). This demanding work complements the design and production of the most suitable and efficient solutions for roofing, insulating and waterproofing residential buildings and large architectural complexes, without demolition or slowing down work being necessary. Before all work, we carry out surveys and inspections of the state of the surface to agree with the customer the most effective means, tools and methods of work.
Encasement: a double benefit with less complexity
An advantageous solution for operative investments and results. With this procedure, the asbestos roof is encapsulated and isolated using a special encasement, thanks to the application of pre-shaped insulating panels, laid in perfect correspondence with the contour of the asbestos sheets, or with simple or insulated sheets. This way, it is possible to avoid costly work to remove the sheets underneath, whilst obtaining the maximum reduction of their harmfulness. The work, as well as guaranteeing excellent results, also offers the advantage of improved heat insulation.
